Have always been an early riser - 0400-0500 each day. Walking is key, as Henry David Thoreau wrote: "The best measure of a man is the bill he pays to his boot maker." Colin Fletcher has been my walking inspiration and author for many years. Thanks again for your sharing.
Thanks, Molly, for this newsletter, this particular entry, and for your YouTube channel. It strikes me that these new habits all rise out and connect back to mindfulness! It also makes me smile, now, looking back, with that thought in mind, to see that Meditation and Yoga fall right in the middle of your list, with the other items around that center. All the best, my friend, to you and yours!
I've just discovered you (I'm new to Substack), and I just wanted to say that I resonate so much with your stories. I can't wait to read more! Thank you for sharing.
My version of being a morning person is getting up at 6:25am to get my kids ready for school. However I completely agree with walking as one of the most beneficial things you can do for mind and body. If I miss my walk my mental health suffers almost immediately. I also agree wholeheartedly with meal planning, grocery prices continue to go up and up so food waste is expensive and frustrating. Alas, the odd neglected vegetable does wind up in the compost bin from time to time…😅

Its true, meal planning is even more important now. Even if we still discard the odd vegetable! :)
Aw that's amazing to hear Isabelle! Good for you :)
