I find tea is essential fuel for writing! I have a routine of writing first thing when I wake up. I wish I had a van to park up in beautiful places, I’m sure that must add inspiration. Most of my ideas come walking my dog too. Love this. Thanks for sharing! ✨🐶🌱

I am not a professional writer but I will say this seems like a very inspiring and good writing plan. 🙋‍♀️

Lovely piece! Just curious, when you were starting out, did you have a full time job? How did you go about setting aside time for Substack? Would love to hear how you balanced both!

I had a part time job so it was a bit easier to manage. Maybe I'll write a post about this another time!

Classical (and neo-classical) music has become a staple part of my day and writing as well. It carries such a natural component of inspiration that really does help romanticize life and fuel creativity. Thanks for sharing your routine!

Thank you, this is really interesting. Often words arrive for me whilst out and about in nature, and sometimes I struggle to remember once I get in front of a computer. I may have to invest in a little notebook! Do you have any tips on how to build an audience please? I’ve only just started on Substack. Thanks and all the best, Dawn.

My overall advice always comes back on focusing on making the best content you can and people will find you :)

Thanks so much for sharing. I haven't tried Notion yet, I currently write my blog posts on a google doc then transfer them but will take a look. Totally agree re writing with -walks, teas, cafes are all great for me too.
