I did! You shared such actionable advice. I spent an hour this morning adding little blurbs to the start of my free and paid posts, asking people to subscribe, as well as adding links to similar posts at the end. Thank you :)
Thank you for sharing this, I really resonate with your thoughtful approach to your creative career - it is my BIG dream to one day reduce hours (though I'm already PT! ha) or even quit my day job, and I love hearing your insights and generous guidance. I'm not sure that will ever happen for me (quitting the day job) but there are certainly plenty of jumping off points for when I launch my own paid membership here on Substack, as I would hope to follow your example of quality over quantity, with personal and enriching content for both reader and writer. Thank you as ever Molly.
Thanks for sharing these insights. I am far away from any of this yet, but your approach helps to foster the right mindset already in the tiny beginnings of my online writing journey 😍
Thanks for sharing more of your quality over quantity and slow strategy, Molly. As always, it's inspiring and calming. Bravo on the Etsy shop, which I hadn't delved into before. I'd love to hear more about how you create pieces via Notion, which I often use. Is there a YouTube episode I could watch on that? Thanks, Molly. Have a lovely day.
I'm glad you enjoyed Victoria! I haven't created a YouTube video specifically about Notion, but this may be an interesting thing for me to share in the future! :)
I'd love to hear/read your take on how you use Notion. I've benefited from Thomas Frank, August Bradley's work, etc., but as a one-person business, I'm less interested in habit trackers and productivity for productivity's sake.
I have templates and a couple of things I want to create for caregivers' use. They should be simple and easy to print, as many have to work in hardcopy. By carers for carers.
Hence, being curious about how you use Notion - 'just enough' and quality over complexity/quantity. Thanks for considering this for the future!
So many good tips here! There is surely something for everyone here, regardless of their journey.
For someone who's been a content creator for a decade, I still have lots to learn about marketing, especially previously I focused on SEO, now for Substack I have to promote myself and my works, which is a whole different beast and I am very self conscious about it. I even struggle to share my content to extended families and friends or colleagues. :) but I'll sure look into your CTA tips within my Substack.
I'm also curious to learn more about your Etsy business, how it is to run it and how you come up with your products.
Thank you for keep sharing your quality work here!
Thank you for sharing this Molly! I've jotted down a few strategies that I'm going to try myself, starting with better intros and CTAs in my posts...
Aw amazing, I'm glad you enjoyed Holly! :)

Thank you lovely! It sounds like you have some really exciting goals and I have no doubt you will get there, your content is wonderful :)
Thank you! I hope so! One step at a time!
I really need to overcome my own little devil and start promoting my stuff more. And to not care I sound like a broken record. 😊
Thanks for sharing this helpful post Molly.
Some great tips.. thank you👍
Great advice, thanks for sharing. I've just hit six months on Substack so will definitely look at your ideas to give my strategy a little refresh.
Aw congrats on 6 months! :)
