What an inspiring post Molly and so interesting. I’ve noticed a difference on your YouTube channel recently, you look calmer and slower (if that makes sense) and your silence speaks to me. I’m in a similar situation in my search for more peace, more silence and more intention and I’m finding that less time online and more time living privately is definitely the biggest key to my peace of mind. I love your posts, they are like a quiet siren call. Thank you 🙏
This is so wonderful and deeply inspiring ❤️ I have been striving for "freedom" myself for years and am yet to define what that truly means to me. Thank you for sharing and for reminding me to start figuring this out step by step for myself 🙏💛
It’s so true that freedom looks different thing to different people even at different stages of their lives.
In my humble opinion, it is as much as our emotional and mental state, as well as our actual physical state. So glad to hear that you are thriving on your own life path Molly 😊
Whichever path we choose, as you rightly point out it requires courage and intention to pursue “freedom”.
Love this, pulled at my heart strings and this paragraph describes my life perfectly.
It certainly is possible and requires guts, but oh it is so satisfying. I often say ‘what is the alternative, if we don’t act or answer the call of our soul…’
“ I’ve given up on strict routines and, instead, embrace mindful rituals. I rarely make commitments that have external deadlines and try not to plan too far into the future. Although I share part of my life for work, I spend less and less time online than ever before, meaning that much of my life goes undocumented, where I’m able to live just for me.”
Good morning, Molly. Thank you for such a refreshing post. You're right, "FREEDOM" is the goal of many people. The perfect formula of life emphasized by society does not fit me: marriage, large house, picket fence, 2.5 kids, etc. Not that there is anything wrong with that path for some people. It's just not mine. Walking the creative path as a nature photographer / poet and working as a paralegal has been a challenge, but I'm doing it. I also sit down and mindfully journal about what's working and what's not working on a monthly basis, as well as consider / implement ways to become further "untethered."
Love this Molly. Yes freedom is everything, and as you say; it does come with its challenges, of course. As freelancers, we do not have a paycheck that looks the same every month, you need a savings buffer and keep your costs low. But still, it's so worth it. It's about tradeoffs. What are you willing to be without to be free? Greetings from Sweden!
This spoke so much to me at the moment. I have felt these whisperings for some time now and this year I have been intentional about making my own free life. Seeing others' comments on this post was such a beautiful reminder that others are feeling the same longing.
I'd love a more in-depth article about giving up social media. I deleted my Instagram, but in the back of my mind I knew it was offering a month to change your mind and come back. I did return, thinking of what I'm missing out on, or if people missed me (I seriously doubt it) but honestly I can spend so long aimlessly scrolling through rubbish. I need help to break the tether!
The older I get the more I see my tether is to people and animals not places 💌 (although I’d be lying if I said there aren’t two places that come to mind)

Speaking to my soul here ✨❤️
This is so thoughtful. I admire that you have the courage to live the life you want. And you are blessed that you have that choice. Cheers! 🥂

I will try and go in-depth on this at some point as I know its a challenge a lot of people struggle with :)
