This sounds like an incredible read. I am way over on the other side of the world but the Scottish Highlands has long been on my dream destinations list. I am sure this book will provide what sounds like much needed awareness to save this region. It is one magical place I can’t wait to one day explore!
In my varied life of military, software engineering, livestock, and conservation work (US Forest Service BWCAW, and contract Timber cruiser doing regrowth surveys) I enjoy your writing. Thank you for the book offer. I wrote a paper on the Cairngorms for a Wilderness Management class, and fell in love with them. I will not likely make it there but I can read about them.
Also, the intrduction to Adventure Ink gives me one more reason to stress mo bhean chéile about my already overflowing book shelves.
Neat connection with author. Sounds like a good read. There is nothing quite like being in an old growth forest. We recently did that amongst the oldest trees on the planet - the ancient Bristlecone Pines.
Thank you Molly, our free copy arrived over a week ago and my husband has it next on his list to read after he has finished Jim Crumley's 'The Nature of Summer'. Can your pod cast be watched after it goes live or do we need to watch it live?
Aw great! I hope you enjoy. I'm currently reading The Nature of Summer too and really enjoying it :). Yes, the video will be shared on Adventurous Ink's YouTube, so it can be watched at a later point
Also possibly a silly question, but, can anyone just to go the National Park and roam? Or is it private land? I only love about two hours away and would love to explore but not sure if I would be allowed?!
