Loved this ✨ there’s something specifically invigorating about the wind - how the strength and passion of it can really get your heart racing and you suddenly feel very alive & present in the moment & just in awe of nature
I’m down in West Cornwall and been out working in strong wind today...it’s been getting up all day and it’s buffeting the house as I type. Something about feeling slightly battered by a strong wind that stirs the soul...also nice to retreat indoors too! 💕
Your writing is very beautiful Molly. I have been thinking about improving my own writing and wonder if you could recommend any books that would be helpful in being able to write well. I have been recording the changes in my local wood during the seasons but my writing is in need of structure. And is quite poor really. Thank you. Caroline
Thank you Caroline! I'm sure your writing is wonderful :). I actually found Skillshare as the most useful resource to improve my writing and building my business generally. I think you can still get a free trial using this link if you want to check it out - https://skillshare.eqcm.net/x9KBB1
I'm also currently reading 'Write it all down' by Cathy Rentzenbrink that I'm enjoying as I'm considering writing a memoir at some point :)
Beautiful words! I grew up by the sea so really resonated with what you said around the winter weather being a softer on the coast, it was always interesting to me going inland and experiencing the harsher cold as a child, I remember the first time experiencing that true bitterness and how much it pulls you into your body and reality
Thank you for this. The Scottish Highland wind was the song of my childhood. I could hear it weave between the branches of the trees behind our house, and it lulled me to sleep in my bedroom under the eves. Even now, the wind in London can soothe me.
I live in Oxfordshire and for some reasons it’s always mega windy where I am! I also lived in northern Spain for a time and they used to call it the City of Wind with the wind coming down from the Pyrenees. Sometimes I find the wind stressful and prefer rain 😂😮💨
Oh Molly, what beautiful writing! I love the way you have noticed and are able to express in words the different and unique winds of each place, the spirit of each place. Thank you for this. You have written so many lovely pieces about nature. I imagine you'll soon have enough to have a book worthy collection.!

Thank you Molly that is very helpful!
Beautiful.
My mother and I are both lovers to walking in the wind.
I could picture myself there and almost feel the wind against my skin!
Aw I'm glad! :)
Me too! I grabbed a blanket reading this piece.
Lovely - I truly get a sense of how these winds are unique and have their own character.
Thank you :)

"Every wind has its own spirit" is a lovely way of saying it.
I'm glad you enjoyed :)

“Which Way Is The Wind Blowing “
She decided so it became a story.

Alabama,USA windy woman lol
Love this Molly, I have yet to visit the Highlands but I know that I will love it.
I live on a small tied island in Dorset and it’s always windy here. People either love or hate it.
Definitely makes you hardy!
There's something about the Scottish landscape that allures me to stay.
Every wind has its own spirit in the highlands.
