Digital minimalism has just been a life changing discovery for me as it seems it has for you. Cal's book is my absolute go-to, I read it about once a year! Great tips :)
Thank you for this, it made so much sense. I’m at a place where I spend way more time on my phone than I’m comfortable with. So I’ve just started reading Cal’s book that you recommended and already feeling inspired to do this. I removed about half the apps on my phone yesterday. The ones that you think “oh that will be useful” and then never actually get used. Next step the detox. I think it will be tough but a necessary step. Thank you again 😊
I too had to leave (wanted to leave) Instagram for similar reasons. It was an addiction. Having been off it for a year and a half has been so nourishing. Great tips, by the way. Seems like our digital minimalism is very similar. :)
i have a very complex relationship with tech, I read Cal's book too, but haven't managed to get myself over the line to actually do a month long break. I enjoyed reading how you are making it work in your life. I'd love to hear more about what you put in place to do instead of the scroll in the beginning? I think that's where I fail, not having something to fill the space created by not scrolling.
My go to now is to always have a book on hand if I'm at home. It fills those awkward gaps, even if I only read a few sentences. I've also gotten more comfortable in doing nothing!
This is very inspiring. I've had a digital detox for a few days while on holiday before, but that's about it. I will definitely look to implement more phone/pc free time into my life and look at uninstalling apps which no longer serve me. The app timer is a great idea too. I very much enjoy spending time in nature, playing musical instruments and reading, so this is a good motivator for me to spend less time using tech. Thank you!

Great to hear you've had such a positive experience with it :)
Thanks Molly these are really great tips.
💚 I do turn my phone off and leave it on the kitchen counter to charge on night.
I'm glad you enjoyed!

Thank you Danielle. Sounds like you've got some really lovely 'offline' options :)
Thanks Isabelle :). Good luck with your detox!
