I'll definitely explore the Skillshare class you mentioned! It's great to hear about your tips and your positive experience with Substack, especially considering your huge following on Instagram. I've been on Substack for a little over a month, and although I'm still finding my way around, I'm relieved that I chose to begin with a blog post instead of attempting a clever newsletter approach that never seemed to work for me.
Great tips Molly and thanks so so much for the shout out. I agree less is more and I’m in the experimenting phase with Sparkle and with Creatively Conscious I’ve really enjoyed reclaiming my space to write. Anything is possible here and it’s such a relief after all these years of social media. ✨✨💖
These are great tips thank you! Fairly new to Substack and growing slowly but it feels so heartwarming & indulgent compared to the mindless scroll on social media. So encouraging to hear you’ve grown organically on here. Thank you for sharing xx
You've just inspired me to write a little introduction for the top of my posts, it makes perfect sense now you've said it - so thank you! I love following your journey and see how you're sharing content without the need of Instagram/ platforms we're told to use, always inspiring!
Great tips as always Molly, thank you! I’m pleased you’ve grown without social media presence. I’m trying to do the same, so it’s helpful to know it can be done 😊
Molly, this is a breath of fresh air. I can see myself where you are in a few months, looking back on 2000 subscribers and realizing I didn't compromise any of my values to get there. Thanks for a thoughtful post!
Thanks so much for these recommendations, really helpful and encouraging. I've not long started my substack and have definitely also felt a little overwhelmed with all the different features but helps to know it's possible to a grow a following without the need to do everything.
Very informative, thank you! I’ve been on substack for two weeks so I’m looking for all the help And insights I can learn from and apply. I write on leadership and getting stuff done as a high trust team. I’m looking for other business and leader focused writers and not sure where to find them.
Thank you! The explore page on Substack works quite well if you want to search keywords to find publications. @Substackreads also send out a weekly stack to emails with posts they think you will enjoy and I've found some wonderful new writers to follow that way :)
I’m brand new to Substack and still on Instagram. I followed you for a while before Substack and love what you’ve created here. Also now following Claire Venus as a result of your recommendation. Would love to hear more about your experience of using Substack.
Great tips, Molly! I love how you’ve ‘stayed in your lane’ when it comes to Substack and have seen amazing growth and community because of it. I’ve also never thought about writing a little intro at the top of my posts, definitely going to be adding that!
Hi Molly another intriguing, read. I can see how Without the pressure of algorithms on social media you are able to focus more on your writing, you definitely made the right decision to focus on just using YouTube and Substack. X
