The leaves really have been a beautiful orange this year! Even in the south in Oxfordshire :) Your passion for the seasons is infectious, thank you for sharing x
It’s wonderful to hear the description of autumn in different places. I was able to experience different autumns traveling through Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky,Tennessee and North Carolina. I’m currently pet and house sitting in NC so I can enjoy one last hurrah of the leaves 🍁
This was a wonderful post. I, too, am a life long lover of autumn. Your line, “September is an indecisive month, where summer is still an ever present threat,” could have been written by me. I am not a fan of summer. 🍂🍁
I love the quote from Anne of Green Gables “I am so glad i live in a world where there are Octobers.” And, I couldn’t agree more as I settle into the shift to winter here in the US Midwest of November, an unstable month that brings all seasons at once.
Farewell sweet October until we meet again. That’s the beauty I will have another October in a year - living in tune with natures cycle.
The way you talk about Autumn touched a chord inside me. The season is still lingering here in central Italy, where Summer and Autumn appear to blend more together every passing year. Having lived almost ten years in the UK I deeply cherish the way the seasons unfold, each one true to its essence, over there. Thank you for taking me on a walk among crisp leaves and ice-glazed morning air.
Lovely description of the blending of two seasons. Such a special time of year in the Northern Hemisphere! Thank you for painting this portrait, Molly.
What a beautiful tribute to October. I’m in Florida so it feels like autumn has only just begun here, but reading this brings me right into winter energy. Your writing is so magical!
What beautiful writing, Molly. So evocative. The geese flying in formation and the their honking call are one of my favorite things, as well. I almost felt like I was there with you!
This is so beautifully written! I already miss the crisp but sunny October days, when leaves were still crisp instead of a slippery slush on the pavement.
It's like I was walking with you trough the beautiful autumn scenery. A nice way to bring more happiness and a feeling of calm into my day!
I'm glad you enjoyed!

Love this quote :)
My new Scottish word for the day is lochan.
It is a good word! :)
This was like a poem in honour of October!
What a lovely comment, thank you! :)

Beautifully said, and it perfectly describes how I feel about Autumn. It never lasts long enough 🍂
So true! Thank you :)
